We loved everything. It was the perfect base and experience of Machiya. We spent evenings relaxing looking at the snow falling in the garden - the underfloor heating was amazing keeping the house warm and cosy. The location was great for exploring the Samurai museum and other temples in the area. Highly recommend it - we will definitely stay again when we visit Kanazawa.

This is the most comfortable sleep I had the entire time I was in Japan and I slept in many different places. It was nice being able to do our laundry. There's a full kitchen but we didn't use it. The bathroom had space for me to do my hair and makeup and even had a magnifying mirror. The host was very nice and welcoming. There was a book of instructions for all the appliances and electronics and the host even sent a list of preferred restaurants and other things nearby.

Location was excellent- easy to walk to nearby attractions/food and on a quiet side street away from traffic. The house seemed very traditional but had modern upgrades like heated floors and a lovely shower/soaking tub. Check in was easy, tea and coffee were provided which was nice. We enjoyed the tatami floors and futons, but there are also 2 western beds as well. The house was very spacious for our group of 5.

Loved having a kitchen after all these hotels. Excellent location - we could walk everywhere which we had planned to visit. Very sad to leave. Wished we could have taken apartment with us.

Just outside the train and bus station so it was great for getting around the city. There was a big department store close by which was great for shopping and browsing. The hotel itself is modern and really elegantly designed. The room was spacious, the most comfortable room we had in Japan so far. It had all the amenities we needed and more. The staff were friendly and gracious. They helped us with making dinner reservations and forwarding our luggage. The room has blackout blinds which were a luxury for us!AnnYoung couple

Mikawa is a a little non touristic village close to the sea, 20 min train ride from Kanazawa. The neighborhood felt very safe. Simple breakfast was made available in the shared kitchen, which was appreciated.
