The highlight of our stay was undeniably our incredible host, who spared no effort in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Our host went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable occasion, adding a personal touch that truly made me feel special. Without a doubt, if I ever find myself in Sri Lanka again, Charming Dark Lodge will be my first choice for accommodation. Its unmatched hospitality, and inviting ambiance have left an indelible mark on my travel memories. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly exceptional homestay experience in Sri Lanka.

What an amazing & awesome time at THE RETREAT - WELIGAMA! Great place to relax and unwind in a classical villa atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery all around. Well curated property with traditional Sri Lankan antiquities combined with modern luxury. During our stay, we enjoyed taking a dip in the pool, strolling around the large garden area, reading books and playing games. Kids had a wonderful time too. It's a safe, super clean and comfortable set up for a perfect rejuvenation and relaxation... Situated in a strategic location (10 mins away from Weligama main town), the villa is the best hide out to completely forget the hustle and bustle of the city yet so close to all key attractions in the vicinity. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us, especially the two ladies, Inoka and Pradeepa ensured that we were comfortable and always greeted us with pleasant smiles. We had an absolutely wonderful time and would highly recommend the place without any hesitation. This is definitely a 'must try' place in southern coastal belt. The area is nice, very close to the Jungle beach. 3 bedrooms, big common area, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom belongings etc. The landlord Damit is very friendly and helpful, he helped us with all the questions we had - starting from renting a motorbike ending with ordering chicken eggs :)) Thank you, totally recommended!

We were very well received at Mangrove bay Inn. We were coming for 3 nights but ended up prolonging our stay. It is very well situated. And full of nature around. Monkeys were passing by daily. The family who owns the property was very friendly and gave us good tips and lots of local delicacy that our little girls especially liked.

Absolutely amazing stay on a beautiful lake area. The hosts were incredibly nice, provided us coconuts on arrival, fruits during our stay and made sure we can reach them anytime and answered all our questions. We could use the washing machines, the rooms were very big (3BR and 3 Bathrooms). We used the kitchen, the bbq to grill fish and cuddled a lot with the puppy Lanka who the previous owners left (dogs will hang around there but obviously you don't let them in). The hammock was a very nice bonus too. All in all we would all totally agree that we got an amazing value for what we paid and had the best days over there. I would recommend to get motorbikes to get around because PickMe will not always come there or its a high price.
