Private House in Oldcastle, a property with a garden, is located in Oldcastle, 23 km from Kells Heritage Centre, 28 km from Hill of Ward, as well as 37 km from Mullingar Arts Centre. The house was beautiful and close to local amenities. We were attending a wedding at Virgina Park lodge and this was the perfect place to stay less than a 10 minute drive from the venue. Anne was a wonderful host. She popped in to say hello and gave us some tips on local cafes and restaurants. The essentials in the fridge with some home made bread and sandwiches was a lovely welcome treat. The house is spacious and comfortable and plenty of space on the drive. Overall a delightful stay.

Lovely cottage right beside the beach. Quiet area, well furnished, plenty of room for family with 2 kids. Warm and cozy on those rainy Irish seaside days ☺️

Offering a garden and mountain view, Rathgillen Mews is situated in Nobber, 19 km from St. Columba's Church and 19 km from Monastery of Kells. County living at its best. Located on the top of a rise, in the midst of farmland, this was truly a quiet, restful location. Due to the rural location the key was left in the door, so we let ourselves in on arrival. We were greeted outside by the owner's dog, who loves to play catch with anyone willing to toss the ball to her. Peter came by a little while later and introduced himself and gave us a suggestion to visit Trim Castle as we continued on our journey. The two downstairs bedrooms were of a good size, with the main bathroom located on the same level. Upstairs were 4 twin beds with an ensuite shower room. The beds were comfortable, all facilities were clean and well presented. Peter was a friendly and welcoming host, we were glad to have made this stop on our journey.

Connells Barn Conversion is located in Duleek, 12 km from Sonairte Ecology Centre, 13 km from Dowth, as well as 14 km from Hill of Slane. Connells Barn is everything it looks - a smart conversion from a historic building into a most pleasant base for exploring the Boyne Valley and beyond. The host is wonderful and she has thought of everything - the place comes with a manual, and you are well advised to run trough it upon your arrival - it is very informative. The other pleasantries you can find are just too numerous to count, from a welcome package ont the table, to a filing cabinet filled with assorted destinations and activities. Karla (the host) definitely sets the bar high for other hosts. The location is easy to find. It is near too many interesting sites for the time we had, so a lot is left unexplored, but it just gives us a reason to return.

Boasting garden views, Connells House Thatched Cottage offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 6.1 km from Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre. Location of this beautiful property is ideal for sightseeing around the Boyle Valley and the wider area. Information from host Karla made it so easy to visit areas of interest during our two day visit. The appearance of the house, the garden, the inside, all had the wow factor. The cleanliness, the decor, the space and comfort made our stay so enjoyable. The history of restoring Connell’s House was very interesting and the end result was amazing.
