The hotel was fabulous and exquisitely refurbished (like, straight out of a design magazine) , with a beautiful garden full of exotic birds and a beautiful swimming pool. If that wasn’t enough what makes it even more special is the staff; everyone is so very kind and polite and genuinely friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and accommodate your every request. They make you feel very well looked after and as if you were visiting friends (rather than staying at an hotel). They anticipate your very need before you even tell them! I felt very comfortable and at ease and loved staying there!

Tião Botelho Guest House in Rio de Janeiro provides adults only accommodations with a garden, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. Alberto is the nicest man in Rio! Did everything we could possibly ask for (and more) to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Perfect for an authentic rio experience in lapa. Good and cheap nearby restaurants and party atmosphere on the weekends. Doesn't speak English (we dont speak portuguese) but more than makes up for it with enthusiasm and Google translate.

Located in Rio de Janeiro, Lobie Armazém São Joaquim has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Everything. The decor, the room, the location. Cool bohemian cafes and bars for breakfast and night hang out in the area. Close to the Explorer restaurant. The restaurant of the hotel is also extremely popular. They let us check out way later than the official time. Nice gesture.

Rio de Janeiro’s historic and cultural neighborhood of Lapa is just steps away at the Hotel Americano. All rooms provide air conditioning and cable TV. Free parking is available. The staff is great, they are always helpful and kind. Location is also amazing to go explore during the day.
