Amazing location on Jogasaki coast and still not that far from the station. The room was bigger than expected (separate living and sleeping room) and we didn't miss anything. The owners were so nice; the property was built by the husband after he looked into many of Gaudi's work and you can feel the catalanese touch in everything he crafted. The natural hot spring was superb as well as the "dragon" jacuzzi. Enjoying the sunset from the top terrace came only second to watching the stars at night.

I had a marvelous stay in this great guest house. There was great support for everything, and everybody was very friendly. Also, it was very easy to get in contact with new people. I was hiking for 2 days and therefore I loved the Onsen and the great food in the evening. I also got very nice sake advice, and the sake tasted really great. The food was fantastic and the service was great. I really loved it. I'm definitely coming back

The view from your room is amazing and I love the Japanese style room. The owner suggested a restaurant on the beach and it was really good (fish) It is easy to reach from the station but be aware there is a really step 20 feet to go from the road to the property. If you are going to the Zoo with the Capibara there is a bus to get there (but you do have to walk 20m and it is a bit tricky to figure out which bus stop) Internet worked well. Be aware this is not a luxory acomodation but if you are looking for piece and quite with a beautiful ocean view this is a fantastic bargain!

Usami seems to be a quieter area than Ito or Shimoda, so nice for families to rest up before heading on to other adventures around the Izu peninsula. The facilities exceeded our expectations: very clean kitchenette and laundry area. Very useful to have drying and hanging racks for inside and outside. Tatami futons were very comfortable to sleep on. Room had a nice view over Usami and the sea. It is 5-10 minutes walking distance to the beach or the grocery store.
