The Rivulet (formerly Amberley House) is only 2 km from historic Battery point and vibrant Salamanca Square and 3 km from Constitution Dock. The accommodation is in the mansion of 19th century. It's well equipped, modern and comfortable. You can enjoy well-furnished living room with a glass of whiskey, fireplace and some tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was included and it was served tastefully, nothing to say about flavor.

Amanda's attention to detail was outstanding. Little Superette up the road for snacks etc plus a short walk to local cafes and restaurants.

The room was exceptionally beautiful, the whole house actually was. Gorgeous interior and extremely perfect location, just next to the penguine spotting point. We arrived late and had a super smooth checkin. Since the town stores were already closed it was even more pleasant to be able to choose from the amazing variety of local beverages that were setup in the room.

The facilities are of great comfort. Additionally, the hosts have great knowledge of the region and can provide less-known tips for hiking trails, restaurant tips and other activities around Strahan. They are also quite knowledgeable about the history of the place, there is a huon pine tree in the nice gardens of the house and the "Honesty-bar" has a very good selection of wines from mainland Australia and especially Tasmania.
