Amazing spot on the beach with super helpful and lovely staff! Great snorkeling and swimming beach, bar, pool and they have snorkeling equipment and kayaks for guests to use. A lovely spot in paradise! Another bonus is the lovely sunset! Good wifi, offered for free which is rare on the island. The absolute best for me though was how Aroa has taken steps to reduce its environmental impact and support of this beautiful paradise. After my stay I went on to stay at Club Raro and wish I had just booked at Aroa for the whole time.

Property is well situated in a quiet setting and close to one of the best swimming beaches. Short drive to the airport and main town, super-brown convenience store/gas/wifi top-ups is only a few mins walk away. There are plenty of fruit readily available. It was a lovely surprise seeing fruit picked and waiting for us on the veranda some days. Outdoor setting is comfortable for those long hot days. The property is well maintained and looked after. Many thanks to Jayne and her husband for a warm accomodating stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Passage Villas! Michelle and Sven made us feel so welcome and were so helpful, offering us a lift to the markets and to town to sort scooters. The villas are cosy and have everything you need. They’re right by the water and we spent our afternoons reading in the hammocks. It’s also super close to Muri and you can even walk a few kms to Muri lagoon for a swim. Highly recommend staying here while you’re visiting Rarotonga!

Budget price for accomodation that is much better than budget! Nice 2-room bungalow with airco and a relaxed veranda. All well taken care of and clean. I enjoyed the free bicycle very much. Kept me mobile with Muri Lagoon nearby and Avarua not far away either. A supermarket with all necessities is across the street and so is a good hamburger andpizza takeaway.

Owner Nev is very friendly and helpful, had a lovely fruit bowl for us, continental breakfast items, milk, water in the fridge. The kitchen was well equipped and we had access to a BBQ, library, washing machine, good drinking water. Our verandah was lovely and had clothes lines but we needed the bug coils lit to keep little biters at bay. The unit had two ceiling fans for cooling.

I stayed in one of the safari tents for 3 nights and it was the perfect little getaway, tucked back from the main road with beautiful views of the mountains. It was clean and comfortable and you can tell how much effort Vicki and Allen have gone to in creating and maintaining the retreat. Both were incredibly friendly and helpful when needed, their pets Molly and Possum were a cute added bonus! The daily breakfasts were lovely and there are bikes and snorkel gear to borrow.

Loved the mosquito netting on all the windows and doors which meant they could be left open during the windless nights. Locks on the mosquito doors provided good security. Lovely big fridge/freezer. We enjoyed using both the gas hob and oven. Spaciousness of the home. Comfy beds, really appreciated the clothes racks and the two luggage racks in each bedroom. Enjoyed eating all our meals on the veranda at the large outdoor table and chairs. There was a large bbq which as vegetarians we did not use.

Was great been walking distant to the beach. It wasn't a busy Motel so it was very quiet. Walking up to our Bungalow 3 I was very excited to get inside. All windows except the bathroom had mosquito nets and one ceiling fan was great. Always came back to a tidy room. Bed was made and bathroom cleaned. Was nice having coffee, tea and milk for the first couple of days. Great hot showers
