Despite the central location the guesthouse is extremely quiet, with no street noise. The room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable- we had the best sleep we’ve had in a long time! The architecture is gorgeous, the photos just don’t do it justice! The guesthouse has everything you need for a comfortable short or longer term stay, including a well equipped kitchen if you would like to do some cooking. The host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

At El Balcon de los Reyes rooms come with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Amazing view all around. The rooms are simple but well put together, clean, and comfortable. Excellent beds and warm bedding. Great shower with plenty of hot water. The pool, jacuzzi and steam bath were an awesome plus. The look of the lake and mountains is unparalleled. Breakfast was awesome. Beautiful place and great value.

He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.

It's difficult to pick just one thing that we liked because the Hacienda San Isidro de Iltaqui was extraordinary in so many ways! We loved the hacienda's ambiance, the farm fresh food was delicious, and the hosts offered attentive, personal, old world hospitality that will bring us back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I had an excellent stay at Refugio Terra Esperanza. Emerson was so helpful in answering all my questions. Excellent services. He cooked me breakfast for $3 and helped me call a taxi to Cumbre Imbabura (which I highly recommend). The place itself is rustic, but charming and cozy. It has great views of Imbabura and Cayambe, so definitely try to wake up early for that. Overall, I would highly recommend this refugio to anyone traveling here. The hacienda is the perfect blend of great hospitality, history and beauty. The staff could not have been better. They were efficient and friendly. It is a very peaceful place to stay.

Las Palmeras Inn is an 7-minute drive from Plaza de Ponchos Square, an 8-minute drive from Otavalo Bus Terminal, and a 10-minute drive from Cascada de Peguche Waterfalls. Great place. Loved the room, the grounds, the fireplace! Food and service were both excellent.
