I got the whole house to myself and having a modern toilet and appliances but with a traditional bath was interesting. The host was very helpful and gave clear instructions. The location along the Nakasendo Trail enhanced the walking adventure.

Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort is 3 km from the holiday home, while Happo-One Ski Resort is 3.8 km from the property. The nearest airport is Matsumoto Airport, 64 km from Ringo Cottage. The location was great, just out of town and close to all the slopes we wanted to get to. The place was very spacious and the amenities were great with high tech and everything we needed. Comfy beds and nice pillows. Great aircon that kept us warm our entire stay.

Only note would be suggest you hire a car as not much in the village of Iwatake, hosts even arranged us a hire car through a company and had it dropped to our door - no hassles at all, and so helpful and convenient. Hosts were open to assisting with everything we needed - even assisting with booking a restaurant reservation. We cannot wait to come back!!!
