I was looking for a nice, non-party hostal in Leon. Casa Lula was perfect. In addition, they have really nice hamocks in garden and spacious airy kitchen. I really liked the owner, his wife and all the staff. The place is clean and kitchen well equiped. Each bed in a dorm has it´s own fan and locker. Its calm place, convenient location. Loved the place.

Hostal La Tortuga Booluda, the hostel for the 'tranquilo traveler', is a friendly little hostel 3.5 blocks from the central square in Leon. Guests can enjoy the on-site self-service bar and play foosball in the colonial 'sala'. Nice placment and good vibes:)

You can play table tennis at the hostel. Wonderful staff - honest help with booking great tours, arranging accommodation, friendly smart people eager to do what they can. Air conditioning works for the room I selected. Shower not heated but still good. Some are saying it’s too far from town but it’s a 10 minute brisk walk to city center and 7 mins away from a good restaurant. It can be a loud city so better to be not right in the center

The area is popular for hiking, and bike hire is available at the hostel. Had a really good stay in the dorm, which has 4 beds , it’s clean and comfortable with personal fan bych each bed. Shared bathroom and shower was very clean so was the whole hostel. Kitchen is well equipped and you can refill your water there. The location is right where the bus stops, a few minutes walk to the beach, nice and quiet at night. You can buy some drinks like juice and beer for very good prices there and there’s a couple of shops very close to the place. Patrick , who is the owner is kind and very hospitable, we shared good chats and I can only recommend this place for a really nice stay in Penitas.

All guest rooms have bed linen. There were lots of places to lounge and relax. The room was small but comfortable with a fan to keep things cool at night. Well equipped kitchen and a good Nica style breakfast. Very close to the centre of town and walking distance to museums, art galleries and the main market.

The staff is very friendly and attentive every time you need something. After my check-out they allowed me to stay at the hostel to wait for my volcano activity and left my backpack in their bodega. Location is fantastic. Great vibe. Try the smoothie bowl!

At the hostel, the rooms come with a patio with a garden view. ViaVia Leon provides some rooms that have a safety deposit box, and rooms include a private bathroom with a shower. The rooms include bed linen. ViaVia is by far our favorite hostel we have stayed at during our travels in all of Central America. The beds are soo comfy, the courtyard is gorgeous, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. The bar was a very nice surprise and a great place to try some Flor de Caña rum which is literally distilled down the road. We ended up extending our stay here and booked a volcano day tour at the hostel as well.
