Situated on the outskirts of Tauranga, Baybell Lodge is only 13 minutes' drive to the centre of Tauranga city. Free private parking and free WiFi is available on site. Surrounded by 2 hectares of avocado trees, Baybell Lodge offers modern, fully self-contained accommodation with a spacious lounge and kitchen, bathroom and private BBQ area with outdoor furniture. Also provided is a flat-screen TV, log burner and storage facilities. Linen is provided. A number of activities are offered in the area, such as cycling, fishing, mountain biking, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, swimming and hiking. McLaren Falls and Omanawa Falls is 5 minutes' drive away. Baybell Lodge is a 30-minute drive from Mount Maunganui beach and 45 minutes' drive from the Lord of The Rings movie set at Hobbiton. Rotorua is a 50-minute drive from the property and Tauranga Airport is only 15 km away.

Situated on the outskirts of Tauranga, Baybell Lodge is a country rural getaway set in the midst of an Avocado Orchard. The Lodge is fully contained with spacious lounge and kitchen, two bedrooms (1 king, 2 singles), bathroom and barbecue area including outdoor furniture. Additional extras include: - light breakfast provided - free Wifi - car parking - storage facilities - pet friendly Even though the location is rural, its only 10 mins from Bethlehem Town, 15 mins from Tauranga and 30 mins from Mt Maunganui. A number of activities are offered in the area, such as mountain biking, kayaking, boating, swimming, river rafting and hiking. Plus, McLaren Falls and Omanawa Falls is only 5 minutes' drive away. Our place is ideal for couples, travelers and families who want to get away, relax and enjoy.
We’ve lived in Tauranga two years after moving from Auckland for a change in lifestyle. I’m originally from Wellington and my wife Louise is from the UK, and we have a 14yo son, 11yo daughter and a black lab named Flint. Apart from caring for the Avocados, we enjoy outdoor activities including mountain biking, fishing, swimming, travelling, and of course meeting and hosting new guests.
Enjoy the peaceful, safe, quiet countryside, a truly tranquil spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and yet only a 15 minute drive to the centre of Tauranga. Beautiful McLaren Falls is only 7 minutes away, offering picturesque walks, kayaking, bird watching, and is also a great picnic spot. Hobbiton is a short 30-35 minute drive away where you can meander around the movie set and reminisce over the unique movie setting and countryside. Mount Maunganui Beach is great for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding plus enjoy the amazing views at the top of Mt Maunganui or enjoy a pleasant stroll around the Mount, this is a 25 minute drive from Baybell Lodge. Tauranga Crossing which contains 100+ shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas is only 5 mins drive away.
