Sunset Sands boasts stunning sunsets, harbour and hill views. Light and lofty, recently renovated, great for families, a short stroll to the surf beach and metres from the boat ramp, Sunset Sands sleeps up to 6 adults and 10 with kids. Light filled and tastefully furnished, this home is well set up for your stay. It features an outdoor courtyard with Weber BBQ, large kitchen/dining and lounge areas, 3 family style bedrooms each with a queen bed and additional singles, wifi TV and free internet. Beach gear, games & books for your use add to this memorable experience. You have exclusive use of both upper levels and the downstairs garden courtyard, laundry and second WC. The owner uses the rest of the downstairs and is completely separate. Parking on-site is provided for one vehicle, or two in a stacker arrangement; there's plenty of additional parking in the public carpark across the road. Check in is 3pm and check out 10am unless otherwise arranged. We have dynamic pricing, specials and additional offers, please request to book to view current pricing and offers.
Hi I'm Rose and I have been holidaying in this area all my life. I find it a very special place, always changing, visually exciting with something for everyone and for every mood here. I'm very pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to come and experience this little 'piece of paradise' for yourselves.
Waihi Beach has 10km of beautiful beach and we are located at the southern end, overlooking the sheltered harbour. Take your pick of fishing, swimming, surfing, kayaking, walking, cycling, watching the kite-surfers (or bring yours) or simply relaxing. Situated next to a park and childrens' playground and 5 mins walk to the surf beach, we're also just down the road from Bowentown Heads, Anzac Bay (safe swimming for kids) and Cave Bay, Shelly Beach. Minutes from the rest of Waihi Beach, a lovely spot to explore. For shopping essentials, Waihi Beach Village is a short 5-7min drive away or 15 min cycle, there's a Superette 3 mins away for a quick outing and Countdown and New World deliver. The Village shops have a bit of a reputation for being worth visiting! Waihi Beach has restaurants, cafes and bars, 100m down the road is the Bowentown Boat Club with bar and restaurant, walk home in style. If you feel like adventuring further afield, within a half hour drive you can do the the Hauraki rail trail (for biking), Waihi Goldmine tours, Karangahake Gorge walks, Bullswool Farm, Paeroa 'home of antiques', Katikati 'mural town' and more. Or stay 'home', build sandcastles!
