The Red Lion is a Grade 2 listed stone-built coaching inn dating from 1748, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and well situated for Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford and The Cotswolds.

The food is great and the rooms are very stylish and clean. It was the first time I slept so soundly since I came to England. The food was definitely the best I've had in England. They were also kind to me until the end even though I could not speak English. It gave me really great memories.

great service, comfortable rooms. Some of us did not have an overhead shower or at least an enclosed bath with hand shower not an exposed tub. also some decor in one of the rooms was basically black and white and that was a bit strong. Those guests would prefer some sunnier colors or even all white, or natural like wood and stone.

The Swan Inn is located in Ascott Under Wychwood in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. This charming property features a restaurant and opens onto a courtyard with a garden.

Rooms at the 17th-century former coach inn have elegant décor. There is a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom.

The staff was very nice, and the food truly excellent (plus it came quickly). The room was spacious, decorated with taste and quiet. I appreciated the help with my bag. The location was easy to find and I felt home and safe by the fireplace. I enjoyed the "walking map" and the bed and linen are one of the best bed I ever stayed in. The bath tub was incredible. Also appreciated the late check-in. And everything was very cheap for the quality. Will certainly come back again (and I do not usually give a 10 even if I enjoyed it). Thanks a lot!

Lovely old coaching inn located to experience the Cotswolds at your own pace. Management and staff were wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable five days. The cozy bar was very relaxing.

We were greeted with a warm welcome from Matt the manager who took us up to our room. Loved the quirky building and comfy individually styled rooms. Lovely food made from local ingredients - enjoyed a 3 course dinner in the evening and a fantastic breakfast before leaving. Lovely ambience in a quiet location which had good access to all the places we wanted to go.

Brigitte was lovely, so accommodating and welcoming, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is advertised as being above a pub so we were worried about noise but it was actually an attached building and we did not hear anything at all. It looks better than the pictures. Very rustic and cute, good natural lighting and exactly what we needed for our city break. Cannot reccommend enough!
