Less than 3 miles from the village of Bampton, this award-winning 17th-century inn provides luxurious rooms and high-quality dining recommended by, among others, the Good Food Guide.

We had a really nice stay at the Trout. We were travelling with our dog and the staff was very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was also dogproof and from the locations we made some nice hikes on the Thames path. The food was definitely the best part of the hotel, both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Would definitely recommend and go back.

We were walking the Thames Path and stopped overnight at the Trout, dinner was good, staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and spacious. Pub is pet friendly and noticed other walkers were staying over with their pets. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the rest of our walk .

Our accommodation was large and comfy. Despite being close to a well used road, The Trout is located in a quiet area. We stayed mid week when the pub was less busy than probably weekends. We had dinner and breakfast there, both of which were excellent

The room was perfect, big, warm, and quite at night. I arrived at the evening and the personal took care of me. They offered me the option to have a dinner in the tavern, and they asked me to choose and option for the breakfast the day after (continental or english full breakfast) The breakfast was just perfect. The bread was fresh and tasted definitly delicious
