What a luxurious place! Spotlessly clean, large and modern room, comfortable bed, lots of blankets and a small heater. I was the only one of my group tour staying here and the only one who wasn't terribly cold during the night. Breakfast was perfect and available from 5.30. Superb location, right next to a few shops, an ATM and several restaurants. Had a great night's sleep!

The absolute best part though was Lizbeth, who greeted us on reception, went out of her way to help us arrange a private taxi tour to see the condors at Colca Canyon, made us an early breakfast before we left and stored our bags for us while we were gone! She was brilliant and is a credit to the hotel.

The room was warm given the -5 degree overnight. The facilities work well but are ageing but is still good value for money. The breakfast was basic but filling. Car parking in a secure lockup next door was great.

It's a great choice if you're exploring el Valle del Colca and also to walk around Chivay. Rooms aren't so big, but they're still comfortable. Unlike other hostels in the area, the water runs, and it's hot (which is nice!) Breakfast is served in the terrace (covered) from which you have beautiful views of the valley and the volcanoes.
