Highwood Park B&B Guest Lodge is 5 minutes' drive from Mooloolah Train Station and 25 minutes’ drive from Caloundra. The Sunshine Coast Airport is a 35-minute drive away. The property sits within 32-acres of private rural grounds, where guests can spot a variety of flora and native wildlife.

The property has a beautiful outlook with each room offering its own spectacular view. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by David our host/property owner who gave us a brief tour of the rooms and property. It didn’t take long to see why this B&B has great reviews. David was an absolute pleasure and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. We only booked one night on this occasion, however, now that we know about this charming place we will be sure to stay again.

The location and easy access was an important part of choosing The Maleny Lodge. The bonus, the grounds, pool and room allocation (Freda)... The room was impeccable, very spacious and the small details including the Wedgwood crockery was a lovely touch... One minor suggestion, or perhaps it was a simple oversight, a small milk in the fridge to enjoy the provided tea or coffee would have been the icing o the cake - we did enjoy a herbal tea alternative in lieu.

We were greeted on arrival by the host David who indicated where we should park and then took us to our room. He then went through the features of the roof and then took us outside to admire the view of the Sunshine Coast and surrounding hills from the front of the lodge. Arranged a suitable breakfast time for the following day. The place is extremely quiet.
