Received the codes for check in prior to arrival from Frank, who was very responsive by phone and text. Huge, comfortable bed. Huge room. Typical amenities. I think this property would be exceptional for a wedding/anniversary/reunion party.

The bathroom situation is a little non-traditional with sinks being in the sleeping area and tiny, slightly outdated showers, but overall, a really cool place to stay and check out. I recommend it!

The lodge is in a nice rural setting that is not too far from Montrose; in fact is closer to sightseeing destinations such as Ouray and Telluride. It has a lot of character from its history as a school. It would be great for a group needing 7-9 rooms such as a family reunion or wedding party.

Huge common room with ice maker & game tables and comfortable leather couches & chairs. Keyless entry meant we never did see the owner, but he was prompt with reply when we texted with questions. The room was spacious and the entire place was decorated with period pieces and modern conveniences. Bed was comfortable and shower was good.

Frank takes a lot of pride in his lodge and cooks you a farm to table fresh breakfast in morning. Can hear the wildlife while you sleep. Wonderful walking trails along side the farm animals and friendly house dogs. My favorite was looking at the mountains while sitting on the porch deck, watching the hummingbirds buzz by. Such a beautiful, unique lodge, can’t wait to be back!

Do they not know the meaning of the word reservation??! We were put in the position of having to find a place at the last minute.
