Featuring direct beach access, this resort has a barbecue area overlooking the ocean. Each self-contained apartment includes a private balcony or patio. Many apartments also have stunning ocean views and outdoor furniture. Location was brilliant (waves were loud). The outdoor entertaining area was gorgeous right on the water

Beachside Resort Motel is less than 5 minutes walk from Whitianga centre and less than 100 metres from Buffalo Beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a tennis court.
All of the rooms at Beachside Resort have a DVD player. The self contained apartments also have a kitchenette including tea and coffee making facilities.
The location was very good. Our 2nd floor room had good views of the bay. We could walk to the CBD. The pool area was large and was an excellent place to relax.

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Located on The Esplanade overlooking Tairua Harbour, Paku Lodge Resort offers self-contained accommodation with a private balcony and harbour views. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, BBQ facilities and free kayak and bicycle rental. Great sized room - well equipped for cooking, balcony with a great view, parking right outside the room door, a hose to wash your feet before entering; this resort was the perfect place to stay. Our room was so close to the beach that we could put our baby down for a nap and the monitor would reach us on the beach. We were able to book an additional night luckily due to a cancellation - we only planned to stay for a night but this area is so beautiful we wanted to stay longer. The beach in this area is full of families.

Located next to the Lost Spring Thermal Pools, this resort offers direct access to Buffalo Beach and has a heated outdoor pool, tennis court and a children's playground. Free WiFi is available in most rooms and all public areas. The pool was an absolute win. Great location

Stayed for 2 weeks. First apartment didn't have an oven or fridge freezer (small fridge only). Asked Managers if we could change. No problem at all, moved next day. Great apartment. There during first cyclone so saw a lot of rain through the large windows. People still using pool. Great family resort. Perfect situation on the main street of Whangamata.

Resort style property with good amenities, clean updated rooms, easy parking, 5 minute walk to main shops and friendly staff. The pool was a bonus for the kids and relaxing outdoor lounges made for easy afternoons - will book again ! :-)

Great location just a 30 second walk to the beach. We had a booking at The Lost Spring which can be accessed via a gate at the back of Oceans Resort. Amazing if you want to walk there and have a few drinks and walk back which we did It's also just a short distance to all the shops and cafes in town. We walked to town for breakfast :)

Beachside Resort is a great location, nice and central within walking distance of main CBD and the beach. Larger Supermarkets are a short drive away. Our stay was early August, so the venue was relatively quiet in terms of neighbours (one of the main reasons for our "getaway").
