The highest hotel in New Zealand, Skotel Alpine is 10 minutes’ drive from the Whakapapa Ski Fields. Tongariro Alpine Crossing is 20 minutes’ drive away. beautiful views, comfortable bed and beddings were just right, excellent service and beautiful food and they were very flexible allowing us to stay long in the morning while we waited for the rain to stop before leaving the motel to start our hike. the community kitchen was comfortable and it had everything that we need to use. the toilets were so clean and showers just right.

DeBretts Spa offers a wide variety of accommodation options including studio and family motels to spa chalets and luxury lodges. The room was large and comfortable with a lovely private deck backing onto a green space. The bathroom was well lit and spacious. The bed super comfy. Everything was clean and there was lots of storage space. The proximity to the hot pools and the discount for entry was great. The staff were awesome - friendly, helpful, attentive, welcoming.

Beachside Resort Motel is less than 5 minutes walk from Whitianga centre and less than 100 metres from Buffalo Beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a tennis court.

All of the rooms at Beachside Resort have a DVD player. The self contained apartments also have a kitchenette including tea and coffee making facilities. The location was very good. Our 2nd floor room had good views of the bay. We could walk to the CBD. The pool area was large and was an excellent place to relax.

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Not all accommodation has a lounge area, sofa, TV. The Hahei Beach Resort is directly on the beach. It’s easy to go swimming or watch the sunrise or sunset.

Just 8 minutes’ walk from Whangamata Beach, Palm Pacific Resort & Motel boasts an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a tennis court. It offers accommodation with free WiFi and a private patio overlooking the gardens. Everything was Perfect. Close to Beach, close to town, nice Pool, friendly staff

Located on The Esplanade overlooking Tairua Harbour, Paku Lodge Resort offers self-contained accommodation with a private balcony and harbour views. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, BBQ facilities and free kayak and bicycle rental. Great sized room - well equipped for cooking, balcony with a great view, parking right outside the room door, a hose to wash your feet before entering; this resort was the perfect place to stay. Our room was so close to the beach that we could put our baby down for a nap and the monitor would reach us on the beach. We were able to book an additional night luckily due to a cancellation - we only planned to stay for a night but this area is so beautiful we wanted to stay longer. The beach in this area is full of families.

Located next to the Lost Spring Thermal Pools, this resort offers direct access to Buffalo Beach and has a heated outdoor pool, tennis court and a children's playground. Free WiFi is available in most rooms and all public areas. The pool was an absolute win. Great location

Situated atop a cliff above Kariotahi Beach, Castaways Resort boasts views of the Tasman Sea. It is 10 minutes’ drive from Waiuku and 70 kms drive from Auckland city centre.

Castaways Resort features an onsite restaurant. Fine wines and gourmet meals can be enjoyed while admiring the panoramic views. Top end .. everything included , even washing machine dryer.. very clean ..roomy but the best was the view with an amazing terrace . we could not expect better .. all rooms were big and so convenient ..Everything you need in the kitchen.. very nice parking at the door.. short walk to the restaurant .. breakfast buffet was amazing .. Highly recommended for the spectacular view and comfort. You should go to the restaurant for dinner or lunch , best selection. Very friendly and helpful staff at the Reception
